Project Description:
At this historic UNM
facility, the scope of work
included a complete HVAC replacement and ADA improvements for restrooms. The historic character of
the 60,000 SF
building limited the work in that no components of the HVAC could be
place on
the roof and the windows could not be upgraded for energy efficiency. The existing heating
system was a steam
system and there had been no cooling on the building.
The design solution by THE Group included air conditioning
and
forced air heating. THE
Group provided
our electrical and mechanical engineering design to the University
Architect on
the date requested.
